About me
My name is Natalie Barros. I am a journalist with passion, a creative mind and the mother of a little whirlwind.
As the daughter of a Swiss mother and a Spanish father, I grew up in the small village of Toffen between Bern and Thun. During my childhood I spent many hours as a circus performer in the circus tent.
With our children's circus Romani, we children from the village toured the area during the summer holidays.
This time has shaped my life to this day in terms of social skills, creative streak and team spirit.
Even as a child it was clear: I wanted to work as a television presenter.
The road was long and hard. I had to earn my spurs over many years but in the end I was able to realize my dream and have been working in television for over 10 years now.
In my free time, I write children's books until late at night, do laps in the indoor swimming pool, learn foreign languages and, as the mother of a small son, I like jumping in puddles without worrying about whether my pants will be dirty or not.
